Tintin in Paris - 6/28/13

A new caching friend of mine was planning a trip to Paris recently, and asked if I had ever looked at the Tintin series of puzzles caches, some of which are located there.  I had not seen them before, but we set out to see what we could make of them.  I wasn't sure what I was in for: Tintin was a character I knew nothing about, all the puzzles had with medium to high difficulty ratings ... and many were written only in French.  What we found was a challenging, complex group of multi-layered, well-done puzzles.  This one was a good starting spot, since it included an English translation:

Le Secret de la Licorne (Be sure to translate the message when you get the green light).

Tomorrow we'll be back in California.

Dominion - 6/24/13

My caching team-member "A" (age 14) recently suggested that our next puzzle cache be modeled after one of his favorite games, and explained to me just how he would go about setting it up.  I thought it was a good enough idea that I bet someone somewhere had already done it.  Sure enough, we found today's puzzle from Finland:
