If you're caching today and tomorrow you'll be able to earn two brand new souvenirs.  Let's say Goodbye 2019 and Hello 2020 with a timely puzzle from Connecticut that I shared with you back in 2015:

A Holiday Favorite - 12/22/19

With only a few days left before Christmas I thought I might re-share the first holiday-themed puzzle I ever wrote.  It's still an active cache, an ammo can with a little over 100 finds in the 8 years it's been out.  I went on to write quite a few other Christmas puzzles, but it all started with:

"The Path Less Travelled By"- 12/19/19

It must be the blustery, snowy weather that got me thinking about Canadian puzzles this evening.  The CO of today's puzzle has a number of fun puzzles that I've featured here before, including several with a holiday theme. I tried to see if I could sort out another one of those for today, but I didn't make it in time.  I did come across a couple of other good candidates to share with you though, including this:

The Other Reindeer - 12/17/19

Today we have a pair of puzzles, one old and one new.  I remember loving this whole series when it came out, and was tickled to be able to find a few of the caches on my first trip to cache in California four years ago. This was my favorite:

Santa's Fifth

I think of that series every year around this time, and recently suggested a new entry which ended up becoming:

Hot Off the Press - 12/16/19

I've known for a while that a 2nd edition to Cully Long's "How to Puzzle Cache" book was in the works, and wanted to be sure to let everyone know that it's now available.  If you already have the first version, there is a supplement you can purchase which contains the new content (so you don't have to purchase the whole book all over again).  I didn't have any part in the update but did edit the original version pre-publication and have been recommending it for years, so I'm excited to see what's waiting in the update.  Here's a link to the supplement (which contains a link to the full version of the 2nd edition in the bottom right).

Today's puzzle takes us to Australia.  In honor of the the new edition of the book I was going to re-feature one of the author's popular Central Park "Gates" puzzles, but then I stumbled across:

Hallelujah - 12/15/19

I chose today's Ohio puzzle (which I first shared back in 2016) in honor of singing part 1 of Handel's Messiah with my church choir today.  It's such a treat to be able to experience that wonderful music, although this part doesn't include the famous chorus called:

Are you ready for some football? - 12/14/19

I've always enjoyed watching football.  The players come and go but the love of our teams lasts a lifetime and is often passed down to the next generations.  Today I have for you football-related caches from the two states that meet right in the town where I grew up.  From Tennessee, this is the first in a UT-themed geo-art (Go Vols!):

and the second, a bit surprisingly (you'll see why when you look) is from Virginia:

Santa's Lists - 12/13/19

Ever wish you could put your fellow cachers on Santa's "naughty" or "nice" list?  The CO of today's Wisconsin puzzle has been doing so for the last ten years, and making a puzzle out of it each time.  2013 must have been an especially interesting year:

You know ... but do you recall? - 12/9/19

After re-sharing one of my own holiday puzzles yesterday I realized I had one I haven't shared here before, so I'll go ahead and pass it along to you today:

If anyone has come across any fun puzzles they've been thinking about sending me, I could use some recommendations.  Holiday-themed would be great, but anything is fine.

Winter Mix - 12/5/19

We had an early shot of winter earlier this week ... a layer of ice with about 10 inches of snow on top.  The snow is bad enough but the ice is much worse, as you can't really always even tell where it is, and it takes forever to chip out the car once it's been encased in it.  But at least it does look like Christmas is coming.  Let's head to Colorado (where they know a thing or two about winter weather) for:

Ireland - 12/4/19

Over the weekend I watched the new film "The Irishman."  I thought it was good overall, but perhaps too long. I'll be curious to see how it does commercially and during awards season.  If you're not familiar with the backstory behind its making, there is some interesting digital sleight-of-hand which makes it quite unique.  That's why I decided to travel to Texas for a little word puzzle involving:

December in Sweden - 12/2/19

I always enjoyed advent calendars as a kid, and I still do.  Every year I return to Sweden for a look at the Wexio Christmas calendar, upon which pre-existing puzzles from a lot of different locations appear daily up through December 24th.  The first puzzle this year (which is from Denmark) has a Muppets theme, which made me grin.  I'm going to have fun trying to keep up each day with the:
