"Bomb" Threat - 1/31/14
Today's puzzle from France includes a game similar to the one featured a few Fridays ago, in that it works best with a group of people playing together, and each person has a limit of what they can contribute each day. It's even more complicated, however, in that not only does the game reset each day at midnight (in Paris), the target you are seeking relocates each day. There is no English translation on the cache page, but the CO has given me the green light to summarize the game set-up for you here.
It seems that some unknown cacher became disgruntled after a series of DNF's and has decided to wipe out as many Parisian caches as possible with a bomb. We have 24 hours to locate the bomb, and our only tool is a "radar" map of Paris. Each cacher may place one circle on the map, and the "bomb radar" tells whether the bomb is within the circle (it turns green) or not (it turns red). Everyone can see all of the circles that have been placed that day. To find the bomb, zoom in as far as possible on the map in an area that is within a green circle, and then right-click. The coordinates of the position will be tested and you will be informed whether or not you have located the bomb.
Google translate gives reasonably good instructions about how to place and move your circle. Good luck with:
