Today's puzzle finds us in California. Just about every year I've lived in upstate New York I've complained about the lack of a proper Spring. It always seems late, short, and not that much to get excited about. This year it came later than ever, but it's been a real humdinger. Everything seemed to start blooming profusely all at once. The colors are more vibrant than ever, and there's a scent of lilacs in the air. Of course all that pollen leaves the allergy sufferers like me with eyes and noses that are runny and:
