Today's New York puzzle was mentioned to me during a recent event. Even though it contains a field component which will prevent us from getting the final answer, I like the solve-at-home portion and a little bit of research led me to a historical connection. The puzzle is in the hometown of the author of the "Pledge of Allegiance." It was 130 years ago today that the pledge was first recited in U.S. schools. Try your luck with:
