I solved today's California puzzle a while back and have been saving it for a Friday, since I found it to be an interesting challenge, although the CO only has it rated it at 3 stars of difficulty. Rating a puzzle's difficulty is certainly a tricky proposition, as how difficult it is to solve depends on any number of factors relating to the types of things you know about, the types of skills you're adept at, and the types of tools you have available.
