Today's puzzle takes us to California, quite a bit north and west of the area I was able to pay a visit to last week. I still have a lot of logs to write, but it was fantastic being able to pay visits to so many great puzzle caches I have enjoyed over the years. The opportunity to meet up with many of their CO's was icing on the cake. What a great community of puzzlers in the San Francisco Bay area! I felt right at home and really appreciate how welcoming they were. :) In honor of all my Bay area friends I bring you:

Cache Cow Week, Sunday - 7/30/17
I hope you've enjoyed spending this last week in England with the entertaining series of cow puzzles. I figured the best one to wrap up would be with the last in the series (so far):

Cache Cow Week, Friday - 7/28/17
I generally feature the toughest puzzles on Fridays, but I chose today's entry from the United Kingdom's cow series mostly because the cow it talks about is just so darn clever. Watch for yourself as she solves the puzzle of how to open that gate:

Cache Cow Week, Tuesday - 7/25/17
Today we return to the United Kingdom. Here's a cow fact for you: The state of Texas has declared their Longhorn to be the official "Texas State Large Mammal." I don't think you'll have any trouble differentiating their version from this one:

Cache Cow Week, Monday - 7/24/17
A couple of months ago I featured a fun cow-related puzzle from the United Kingdom that had dropped into my inbox. It was the first in a series, but I didn't take the time to check out any of the others until recently. I loved what I found: 37 entertaining puzzles that form a geo-art cow:
I haven't solved all of them yet, but I found enough to keep us occupied throughout the upcoming week. Along with the puzzles you'll find a wealth of information about many, many different breeds of cows, and "cow facts" that could themselves make quite an entertaining puzzle. Let's kick things off with:
Tomorrow, another in the series.

It's Not Samantha's Mother - 7/23/17
If you're not geographically inclined, you might mistake the name of the country that is the home of today's puzzle for Samantha's mother on Bewitched, or even the setting of "The Empire Strikes Back." But the red-haired, caftaned witch was "Endora," the Ewoks' moon was "Endor," and the country we're visiting today is Andorra. When I checked the other day, the entire country had 22 puzzle caches, and 15 of them were in the series that starts with:

Bored at work? - 7/18/17
One of the things that surprised me the most when I started this blog was how many more pageviews it gets during the week than on the weekends. I guess a lot of folks do a little puzzle solving during their down-time at work and are more likely to spend their weekends out caching. The alternate title for today's Michigan puzzle suggests that perhaps some people think about writing puzzles during working hours as well. I guess wherever and whenever it happens, I would be grateful for:

Fidget This - 7/17/17

Another Flippin' Puzzle - 7/15/17
I love the alliteration of the of the "Puzzle Popping Potluck Party" event for which today's New Zealand puzzle was created. If they had held it this weekend I guess it could have been a "Pirate Puzzle Popping Potluck Party." I'm not sure what all of this "Mary Hyde" stuff will amount to, but I guess I'll give it a shot since I've enjoyed most of the previous summer souvenir projects. Good luck to all of those who participate! And here's today's:

Serendipity - 7/13/17
Sometimes it feels like a puzzle comes along at just the right time. Today's California puzzle is one that I had bookmarked a while back, but I had never gotten around to solving it and I managed to forget about it entirely. It was only while investigating potential targets for an upcoming trip to the Bay area that I stumbled across it again. Now that was certainly a case of good timing, but the really remarkable thing is that it was just two weeks ago that I was caching with the CO in:

Beep Beep! - 7/12/17
I'm always impressed with geo-art that is actually artistic. (My own efforts have simply involved intersections of straight lines.) Today's Ohio puzzle, which landed in my in-box recently, is the start of a geo-art series in the shape of Wile E. Coyote's nemesis.

Far East - 7/10/17
Today's puzzle from France is part of a series spun-off from the well known "Puzzle Solving 101" series in south Florida. Since I had made the finds on that original series back in January of 2013, it was fun to find a couple of these caches that pay tribute to it. Try your luck with the cache that now represents my easternmost find:

Appalacachin - 7/9/17
Having grown up in the area nestled between the Smoky and Blue Ridge portions of the Appalachain mountains, the title of today's Colorado puzzle caught my eye as a fun play on words. (You may note that we pronounce the "la" like in "lad," although plenty of people I've met here say it with a long "a" like in "lake." Here's what a blog I came across had to say on the subject: "If you are from the Southern Appalachians then you, without a doubt, say Appa-LATCH-uh. If you say Appa-LAY-shuh you are not only identifying the mountain range but you are also announcing to all that you are not from there.") However you say it, enjoy some:
