Mr. October - 9/29/22
The best side benefit of this game is making new friends around the globe. I attend the Going Caching mega event in Rome, GA every year. It is centered around puzzles and the area offers a plethora of amazing mysteries beyond those placed for the event. This year, I have developed a long-distance friendship with fellow solver, SpeedCity, as we have been working together on puzzles in anticipation of the event. Hopefully, we will get to meet in person while there, but regardless we have had a lot of productive give-and-take and it is almost always a good thing to look at stuff from different perspectives. Today's offering is one of those; it eluded me due to a miscalculation on my part, but SpeedCity set me back on the right track when she pointed out my mistake on…

Just Letters - 9/4/22
Today's offering is best summed up by the description itself:
"We use letters every single day and probably never even think of them. I've also done many puzzle caches that letters in various ways. There have been numerous ciphers (Pigpen, Baconian, Vigenere, ROT13, etc. There have also been numerous anagram puzzles and other "word" type puzzles. I've counted letters, rearranged letters, using the letters position in the alphabet, etc. There are so many unique ways to use letters in puzzles that's it impossible to list them all here."
And so, here is another contribution that centers on using…

All a Blur - 9/4/22
The Red Blue Blur
One of the great things about most of the puzzle cachers I know is that they are always willing to help those less adept at solving riddles, enigmas, and ciphers. This is even true when the less astute solver comes from another world and every mystery is just…

Why are you here? - 9/2/22
I ask again, "Why Are You Reading This Blog?"
Back in 2018, I posed that question when I was honored to fill in here. The answer is just as obvious now as it was then when we directed you to the first part of this query. I look forward to the email for this blog every morning because…

Can you speak the language? - 9/1/22
I Don't Speak the Language
When I first saw this puzzle, I tried to translate it into every language Google Translate could offer. Fortunately, it wasn't long before something triggered in my brain that got me a green light on the checker for…
