Today's puzzle takes us a couple hours up the road from me here in NY. In the U.S. most of us will be turning our clocks back today, and while I'll admit that I do like the extra hour of sleep, I find the Fall time change tough because I really hate losing the daylight at the end of the day. It always seems like there's still one more clock to fix, so for the next few days I expect to repeatedly be asking myself:

For someone who doesn't really spend much time in the kitchen, I certainly seem to watch a lot of baking shows this time of year. In addition to a couple different shows on the Food network I am enjoying the new episodes of the Great British Baking show, and recently discovered the spinoff Holiday-themed show with American contestants who travel to the UK to compete in the famous tent. Let's head to the UK ourselves today for this bit of British cuisine:

Today's puzzle takes us to France. Last week I was bemoaning all the little things that had gone wrong on Wednesday. So, this week I'll list the little things that went right today: I did not oversleep despite forgetting to plug my phone in and it going dead so my alarm couldn't go off. I did not knock off the door on the car next to me when it sprang wide open right into the parking space I was driving into (it just left a little red paint on my blue car). And since I was so late eating my lunch I did not have to go to class covered in yogurt when this happened:
I'm sure that next Wednesday even more things will go right. 😂 That said, this was just the kind of puzzle I was interested in solving this evening:

Today's puzzle takes us to Canada's Alberta province. In the last couple of days I spotted the first red maple leaf on the ground, and the Autumn crocuses in our front bed have started blooming. Even though the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler, the arrival of those little flowers always catches me by surprise. Fall is the undoubtedly the prettiest season here in central New York, but I have mixed feelings about it due to the fact that winter is just around the corner. I'll have to do my best to just focus on the Finger Lakes':

Today's puzzle takes us to Minnesota. One of the first things my husband and I did as an almost-date when we were first getting to know each other was attend a 4th of July concert and fireworks show. I always look forward to the fireworks each year, and have thought it was very strange that my adopted hometown always holds them at least a few days early. Even so, I missed them last year when they were cancelled completely due to the pandemic, and was disappointed that none were scheduled for this year either. You can imagine my surprise when a nice display started launching less than a mile from my house last night. We missed some of the lowest ones due to the trees, but could definitely see (and hear) enough of them to put me in the holiday spirit. I later found out that the new owners of the now defunct country club had put on the show. In honor of the fireworks displays many of us are able to enjoy again this year, here's a puzzle about:

Tomorrow we'll ...
Today's recent California puzzle is one I managed to solve at the end of last week as my cold-induced brain fog began to lift. I liked how it worked out, but the title also allows me to bring up something I stumbled across on TV a couple days earlier, and which I think should be of interest to puzzle cachers. Have any of you heard of The Secret? If there isn't a puzzle out there with this theme, there certainly should be! See if you can crack:

Today's Ohio puzzle is one I've been sitting on for quite a while. It's finally time for:

Today's puzzle is a recent one from New Jersey. You can:
Tomorrow we'll commemorate Flag Day.
I've been fighting a really bad cold this week, so I haven't been good for much of anything. I spent pretty much all of Wednesday watching the Game Show Network. I don't really watch them very often these days, but game shows were a staple of my childhood. GSN has some old ones, some really old ones, and some new ones, and the other day I sat through all of the ones referenced in these three recent Michigan caches:
and GSN - The Chase

Today we have a Tennessee puzzle that I spotted while looking for "pool" themed caches. I realized after I solved it that I had just driven by the area where it is last week on during my travels. Try your luck with:

Today's Washington state puzzle will have you going old school. Back in the days before geocheckers became common, some CO's provided a method that solvers could use to rule out some answers as wrong. However, as you'll see in the puzzle, you couldn't necessarily be completely confident your answer was correct even if you got the right:

I've just returned from a nice vacation during which I was able to add two new states to my geocaching map. I thought it would be fun today to share the first cache I ever found in California, back a little less than 6 years ago:

I've been enjoying a little vacation since things are now opening up pretty nicely due to progress with vaccinations. My travels have taken me to South Carolina, where I logged 4 caches the other day. It was starting to feel like old times! Here are a couple of them:

I spent quite a while looking for themed puzzle in honor of Mother's Day, but didn't spot anything suitable that I hadn't featured before. I finally decided it would be just fine to revisit this Georgia puzzle I shared back in 2014:

Today's puzzle takes us to California. I have always been an avid reader, and enjoy lots of different genres. With the end of the term just around the corner, I'm looking forward to putting together my summer:

Here's one last post from this week's guest puzzle-picker Ol'Fogie (if you'd be interested in taking a turn yourself feel free to get in touch!):
I solved and found today’s puzzle/cache a couple of years ago while visiting the Seattle area. It begins with an old riddle that most of us have probably heard at some point in our lives and involves an informal fallacy and a bit of misdirection. BUT, the real question here is how much the riddle is involved in solving the...

Today my guest puzzle picker Ol'Fogie sends us to Georgia with the following post:

Fortunately, Skittles has answered those questions for us and allowed

My school isn't having an actual Spring Break this year, but fellow puzzler Ol'Fogie is helping me take a little time off here at GPotD. Here's what he has prepared for us today:

Ol'Fogie is my guest puzzle picker this week, and here's what he had to say about today's puzzle:
Much of the time puzzle cache titles have something to do with the puzzle itself.
Often they are even a clue to solving. But then there are times when the title has
absolutely nothing to do with the mystery and refers to the final hidey hole. This is
one such Georgia cache where the title points to the location of the final at...
Tomorrow we'll...
Under normal circumstances I'd be having a Spring Break about now, so I'm going to take a little time off this week and let fellow puzzler Ol'Fogie take the wheel. Here's what he has prepared for us today:
Today we feature a simple maze from British Columbia. Did you know that the patron saint of England, Saint George, was not English at all? He was a Roman soldier born around 275 AD. The tale of his dragon slaying has been told in many ways through art, music, books and now via...

When I took a look at this Tennessee puzzle that popped up yesterday, I realized the posted coords were very close to the (now closed) restaurant where my husband and I had our first dinner date back in 1988. I think I still have one of their matchbooks in a drawer somewhere. Since we're only one day past the day in question, I figured it was still OK to play:

I'm sure there will be a plethora of new pi-related puzzles being published today, so I'm thinking I'll wait and see if there are any that catch my eye and feature them in the coming weeks. Instead, I'll post a Pennsylvania puzzle by my good friend captainmath, host of the longest consective series of Pi-Day geocaching events anywhere. The streak continues with an event today and I look forward to the time when I'll finally be able to join him at one of these events. Today's puzzle was part of a pi-shaped geo-art that he published on this day back in 2016:

In most of the U.S., if you haven't already, don't forget to "spring ahead" with your clock today!

It was exactly one year ago that the ramifications of the Covid-19 pandemic really started to hit home for me. At the beginning of the week it all still felt pretty far away, but by this Thursday everything started changing so rapidly that just about the time I began wrapping my head around one big change or cancellation, something else had happened. I know we're not out of the woods yet, but it's good to see that we're making progress. Today's puzzle takes us to California, and when it was passed along to me I knew this would be the perfect time to share it with you. I hope you'll enjoy the "Three Point Play" in:
